Wednesday the 20th

 Today we read and analyzed some of the text from fences , in the text we found out that Troy had gotten another woman pregnant after 18 years with Rose. Then found out the other women Alberta had died giving birth. I did not expect Troys behavior but I was also not surprised. 

I don’t think his argument was justified about him “stealing second”. He is hurting everyone around him. I think he lives very selfishly and expects his woman to just except it. He took away Rose’s dreams also.

We read that even in the north parts of America during the time, it was hard for a young black person to get a job.  Crime and poverty is always connected.

Tuesday 17

 Today we presented our projects again and I learned more about the different Latin American countries. I did my project on the Dominican Republic and I found it interesting that most Latin American countries practice catholicism as their main religion. I am excited to move onto a new unit in English focusing on different Latin American, authors and texts.
