 Today we read “the rockpile” in class and analyzed the text a little bit. We dove deep into what a blended family can look like. My mom recently got remarried and it’s really weird. I can relate to this how my mom says I don’t even have to call my stepdad “stepdad”. I thought it was interesting how the husband in this story was mad at the mother instead of the son.

 Today we took a quiz. I got an 88 on the quiz and although I would like to do better, I tried my best. So far I am liking this class. I have really enjoyed all the poems we have dissected and discussed in class.

 Today we learned about a new poem. This poem talked about a mom telling her son about life. How life can be hard but you should never stop moving. I liked this poem and appreciated the theme of it.
